Arthritis Qi Infusion

Western Perspective

Arthritis relates to joint inflammation. According to Western medicine, there are numerous types of arthritis. The most well known are called: osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Arthritic conditions often lead to bone degradation, bone spurs, localized pain, stiffness, and loss of mobility.

Oriental Medical Perspective

The bones are the most Yin tissues of the body. When heat, as defined by Chinese medicine, gets into the bones it can cause shape changes, breaks, and bone migration into locations where bone is not expected to reside. The most common factor in arthritic conditions is Earth excess and dampness. Earth controls Water Qi, the main constituent of bones. It can cause bone to “melt” and re-harden in new, unexpected locations.

Arthritis Qi Infusion

This Infusion clears pathogenic dampness from the bones and helps to heal damage to the bones and joints. A major cause of pathogenic dampness is called “wind damp heat” and “wind damp cold” which often correlates in Western medicine with fungal infections. Clearing pathogenic energy associated with these pathogens can cause localized fungal “die off” reactions that may lead to a short term increase in pain and inflammation at the joints before obvious improvement follows.

When To Use

To avoid or to treat arthritic conditions use three times a day for three months then weekly thereafter. While most people will experience immediate signs of improvement, you may experience approximately one week of increased sensitivity once you start this treatment.
